What an amazing week it has been here in Eureka. DAVID IS GETTING BAPTIZED!! It has been such a learning experience teaching him the gospel. He is so awesome. I am excited for the journey that he is beginning. During the lesson we invited him to baptism (We have invited him several times) but he didn't really acknowledge it. At the end of the lesson we invited him to church and he said: "How soon can I get baptized?" We were all speechless.
We also had a lesson with a girl named Kara. She is amazing! She is very open and excited to learn more. She had a really rough year last year, which caused her to desire to start attending a church. Not too long after that some Sister Missionaries knocked on her door. For some reason they lost contact...but then Sister Gadi had tracted into her before I got here. Long story short, she has been in and out of town so she has been hard to meet with. We had a lesson with herand it went very well. I love her so much, and look forward to the future!
Sister Smith's birthday was. We went to a delicious restaurant called "Los Cabos" for lunch. That night we went over to the McCains. They spoiled her by buying gluten free pizza and cupcakes! It was such a fun evening.
I love being a missionary. It is hard to believe it has already been 4 months since I have been serving. It has been amazing to witness the many different ways the Lord shows his love to His children.
I love you all!
Love, Sister Furniss
