It was a great first week of the transfer! In one of my past emails I mentioned 2 gentleman, Hosou and Messan. They are from Africa, we met them in a parking lot one day. They have different schedules so we met with them separately. We met with Messan this past week and he basically taught us the restoration lesson! It turns out that when Messan was living in Togo, (Where he's from) he met with missionaries. He brought his French copy of The Book of Mormon to America and the Restoration dvd. He knows a lot of members of the church down in Africa, and he knows some members here! It was crazy to hear his story. Hosou is the same way. He is from a different country in Africa, Benin, but when he was younger his family also met with missionaries and they were given a copy of The Book of Mormon. There are no coincidences! Two men from two different countries who are now roommates who both met with missionaries in their own country, then they came here and met us in a random parking lot! So cool!! This is definitely the Lord's work. We have to hand them off to the Elders in the other ward though because they are just slightly out of our area! I'm excited to hear how everything goes!
We drove down to St. Louis this week because we had a leadership meeting. I learned so much! I'm excited to teach the things that we learned to our zone! I'm grateful for the opportunity that I have as a missionary to declare repentance and help others come closer to Christ. This has been an amazing 15 months!!
